Kelsea Ballerini visits Phoenix Children's Hospital as part of Musicians on Call Program

Reigning ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year and Black River Entertainment artist Kelsea Ballerini joined Musicians On Call (MOC), a nonprofit that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities, to bring the healing power of music to patients at Phoenix Children’s Hospital on Friday. A longtime MOC supporter, Ballerini performed for patients, families and caregivers in the hospital’s Zone area before visiting with patients who were unable to make it to the lobby. Kelsea took the time to visit patients while on the Rhythm & Roots Tour with Rascal Flatts. Performing her hits including current chart-rising single “Peter Pan” and two consecutive No. 1 smashes “Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Dibs,” Ballerini brought smiles to everyone’s faces during her visit.

Musicians On Call is a truly inspiring organization and the smiles that they bring to patients and families is immeasurable. To be here, in Phoenix, and a part of the launch of a brand new program is a real honor,” shared Ballerini.

“We’re so excited to have Kelsea here to support the launch of our 60th Bedside Performance Program and first Children’s program in Phoenix,” said Pete Griffin, Musicians On Call President. “Throughout the years Kelsea has been a huge supporter of ours. Kelsea’s fun music and energy always brightens the days of these patients.”
MOC's expansion to Phoenix Children's Hospital is thanks in part to support from ACM Lifting Lives, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music dedicated to improving lives through the power of music
MOC currently brings the healing power of music to patients in 20 cities including New York, Miami, Nashville, Dallas, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Denver, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Denver, San Francisco and Atlanta. MOC has also just reached the milestone of playing for half a million patients, families and caregivers and launched its Half A Million Moments Campaign. Chase Rice Announces "Everybody We Know Does" Tour - Stops in CT and NH

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - An artist who not only “knows his audience” (USA Today) but also lives, breathes and works right alongside them, Chase Rice is taking the rallying message of his new single “Everybody We Know Does” to heart and hitting the road this fall to play new music for fans right in their home towns. Rice, who has headlined four tours and opened for country superstars Kenny Chesney and Dierks Bentley, decided to route his upcoming Everybody We Know Does Tour directly to those who have grown with him and supported him since he was playing dive bars and fields, selecting a number of unconventional tour markets that are home to some of his most rabid fans so he can bring the music to them. The Everybody We Know Does Tour will launch in September, with the first round of dates announced today and more to follow in the coming weeks.
Written by Jeremy Bussey and Travis Denning and set to impact country radio on Monday, July 18, Rice’s new single has already piqued the ears of fans and critics alike, with Taste of Country calling it “a country-rock anthem that grabs you with guitars and keeps you with a unifying message” that has “the potential to be a career song for Chase Rice.”
“When I first heard ‘Everybody We Know Does,’ I was immediately reminded of all the songs I listened to growing up, the songs my dad and I would listen to out on our farm and it just put me right back at home in those moments,” said Rice. “It’s a message that I needed to hear, and from the feedback we’ve been getting already, I think fans feel the same way. So that’s what this tour is about – finding those fans, whether they’ve been with me for a while or might be seeing my show for the first time, and experiencing music together in some of those places that mean the most to us.”
Rice will launch the Everybody We Know Does Tour in New Haven, Connecticut on September 8, with the first round of dates to be announced as follows:

The Stray Birds to play two shows at Club Passim on July 11th

The Stray Birds are visiting Boston in anticipation of their upcoming record, Magic Fire which was produced by Larry Campbell, which will be available on August 16th.  The band features the harmonies and multi-instrumental talents of Maya de Vitry, Oliver Craven, and Charles Muench.

Magic Fire builds on the success of The Stray Birds' 2014 Yep Roc debut, Best Medicine, which was hailed by NPR's World Café for its "strong harmonies and sharp songwriting" and debuted at #2 on the Billboard Bluegrass chart. Guitar World praised their "heartfelt creativity," while the Philadelphia City Paper called the band "stunning," and Mountain Stage applauded their singular ability to "successfully draw on the rich traditions of American folk music while still sounding modern." It was that unique formula that first brought them national attention and fueled their breakout in 2012, when their self-titled/self-released debut landed amongst NPR's Top Ten Folk/Americana Albums of the Year and earned them major festival performances everywhere from MerleFest to Scotland's Celtic Connections.

Magic Fire is currently available for pre-order on iTunes.  You can also purchase an autographed physical copy here.  Catch The Stray Birds on Monday, July 11th with shows at 7 and 11 PM.  For tickets to the 7 PM show, click here.  For the 10 PM show, click here.  Club Passim is found at 47 Palmer St, Cambridge, MA 02138
