Kelsea Ballerini celebrates "Peter Pan" reaching #1

Nashville, Tenn. (October 13, 2016) – Celebrating her high flying, third consecutive #1 single surrounded by planes and parachutes,Kelsea Ballerini and her music industry supporters toasted to the success of “Peter Pan” at a massive party held yesterday (10/12) in a Nashville airplane hangar.
Standing alongside the song’s co-writers Forest Glen Whitehead and Jesse Lee, Ballerini told the assembled crowd it takes the hard work of many different people to climb so high. “This is bigger than me,” she said, before concluding with a promise to keep aiming for the stars and to make her believers proud.
The chart-topping success of “Peter Pan” is a historic feat, making Ballerini the first female artist – including duos or groups – to hit #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with her first three singles. Simultaneously, the fantasy-themed tune rose to the top spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, also making Ballerini the first female artist to score a double #1. It is the first chart-topper for Lee and the second for songwriter/producer Whitehead, who also co-wrote Ballerini’s “Love Me Like You Mean It.”
Decorating the cavernous space to mimic the feel of the “Peter Pan” music video (directed by Kristin Barlowe), Ballerini, her co-writers and co-producer Jason Massey were presented with #1 plaques and gifts from ASCAP, BMI, and publishers ole and Black River Publishing, before Ballerini’s record label – Black River Entertainment – surprised the star with news that her debut album had just reached GOLD certification for sales of over 500,000 copies.

Craig Campbell performs National Anthem in "Salute to Survivors" at Denver Broncos Game

RED BOW Records’ artist Craig Campbell performed the national anthem at the “Salute to Survivors” game in Denver, CO (10/9). Although the Atlanta Falcons are Campbell’s home team he donned a Denver Broncos shirt with pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The singer-songwriter left the game happy as the Falcons defeated the Broncos, who were previously undefeated, with a score of 23-16.

“It's always an honor to sing our national anthem but it's extra special to sing it on a day we celebrate and salute the survivors,” says Campbell. “Overcoming and winning against breast cancer is the greatest victory and I was glad to be a part of their day."

In addition to his current single, “Outskirts of Heaven,” ascending the country radio charts and a heavy tour schedule, Campbell is keeping busy with his husband/father duties. Sounds Like Nashville is uncovering how the country singer continues to prove he’s the dream husband and father in the weekly #HusbandGoals column. Whether it be a photograph of Campbell going with his girls to a father/daughter dance or making some of us blush with a picture of him and wife Mindy sharing a kiss, it’s easy to see how he keeps his family going strong.

Campbell recently performed “Outskirts of Heaven” on NBC’s TODAY, which released to rave reviews across media and fans alike. After Rolling Stone Country featured an exclusive “First Listen” to the track that he wrote alongside Dave Turnbull, fans praised the ballad saying it “brought me to tears,” “gave me chills,” and claimed “this is what country music is supposed to sound like.”

Following 2015’s “Tomorrow Tonight,” Campbell has been in the studio working on his RED BOW Records debut album. Previously sharing the stage with Randy Houser, Alan Jackson, The Band Perry, Jerrod Niemann, and Justin Moore, he is currently touring across the U.S. with more dates to be announced soon.

Rae Lynn and William Michael Morgan visit patients through Musicians On Call

Warner Music Nashville artists RaeLynn and William Michael Morgan joined Musicians On Call (MOC), a nonprofit that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities, to perform for patients and families in the cardiac and orthopedic wing of Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City yesterday. The visit was in partnership with the Grand Ole Opry and its Circle Throwdown which brings impromptu performances with Opry artists and a replica of the famed six-foot Opry Circle of wood symbolizing the oak center stage at the Opry House to new locations across the country. Both artists serenaded patients during MOC’s Bedside Performance Program, where volunteer musicians across the country have delivered the healing power of music to over half a million patients, families and caregivers. The two artists also performed with the Circle Throwdown in the Infusion Center at Lenox Hill Hospital, bringing much needed joy to the patients and staff.

“Musicians On Call is a great organization that helps a lot of people because music is definitely healing for the soul,” said William Michael Morgan. “Today was a perfect example of that so thank you to Lenox Hill Hospital and MOC for having myself and RaeLynn!”

"I love being a part of Musicians On Call because I understand the healing power of music,” said RaeLynn. “Getting to spend time with patients and sharing music with them is a powerful thing.  It brings us all together and gives us as much joy as it does them, it’s a blessing really.”

"I love being a part of Musicians On Call because I understand the healing power of music and they provide an easy way for us to get involved in making people's days, which I love doing,” said RaeLynn. “You never know what they're going through, so if I can brighten someone's day by singing them a song, I love that. Musicians On Call gives as much to me by participating as it does to the patients we sing for and I appreciate that."

“We’re so fortunate to have two of Warner Music Nashville’s rising stars RaeLynn and William Michael Morgan donate their time and talent to deliver the healing power of music to patients in New York City today,” said Pete Griffin, MOC President. “It has been such an honor to continue our partnership with the Opry to make moments like these just that much more special for patients, families and caregivers.”

With her powerful new song “Love Triangle” impacting the singles and sales charts, RaeLynn has been waiting a long time to share more of her life story with her Warner Bros. Records/Warner Music Nashville debut album WildHorse, set for release on December 2. The pre-order is available now. Featured as a CMT Next Women of Country, RaeLynn is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on her debut record with her producers and co-writers, Jimmy Robbins and Nicolle Galyon and is set to open Blake Shelton’s 2016 Tour Presented By Gildan®. On the heels of Friday’s release of William Michael Morgan’s highly anticipated debut album Vinyl, the breakout star notches his first No. 1 on country airplay with the album’s lead single, “I Met A Girl.” A single that wouldn’t quit, “Girl” spent 58 weeks at radio and 49 weeks on the Mediabase/Aircheck chart, boasting the longest chart run to No. 1 in its history. The 23-year-old Vicksburg, MS native continues to hit the road throughout the fall, including a performance at the historic Ryman Auditorium on Thursday, October 6 to perform on Opry Country Classics and will celebrate the release of Vinyl the following evening. The singer/songwriter will kick off 2017 by joining country music stars Lee Brice and Justin Moore on the “American Made” Tour. Morgan will start the trek January 12 in Indianapolis, IN and continue through March, playing 20 cities across the country.

MOC currently brings the healing power of music to patients in 20 cities including New York, Miami, Nashville, Dallas, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Denver, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Denver, San Francisco and Atlanta. MOC has also just reached the milestone of playing for half a million patients, families and caregivers and launched its Half A Million Moments Campaign.
